First mentioned in 1862. Sailors used to drink lemon against scurvy and whisky for preservation – the birth of the Sour.

Ingredients

5cl Blended Scotch, 3cl lemon juice, 2cl ginger syrup, candied ginger

Preparation

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a glass over fresh ice. Garnish with ginger.
